Catherine Garcia, MD
Dr. Garcia was born in New York and has lived most of her life between New York and Dominican Republic. She received her medical degree with honors from Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. Her internship was completed in Woodhull Medical Center in New York. Her internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship were both successfully completed at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She moved to the Palm Beaches with her husband after graduating to be closer to family.

She is board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. Memberships include American College of Rheumatology, Florida Society of Rheumatology, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and International Society of Clinical Densitometry.

Her main areas of interest are rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases (Lupus, Sjogrens syndrome, etc), Vasculitis (Temporal Arteritis and Wegener’s among others), Osteoporosis and Musculoskeletal ultrasound. She is a strong patient advocate, fluent in Spanish and English, who prides herself on providing great compassionate care.

Her and her husband enjoy playing golf, spending time with family and friends as well as traveling.
